When a friend recently commissioned me to make bookmarks to commemorate her book club’s 3oth anniversary, I was excited to work on a magnetic version that doesn’t bend or pinch the page. I chose fabric swatches in keeping with the “feminine” aesthetic my friend prefers.
After working on a few prototypes, my final design is a fold-over clip that doesn’t require stitching or sewing. Thankfully, she was happy with the result!
I had a lot of fun working on the project — so much so that I made a bookmark for myself using fish leather! I suspect I’ll be making loads more of these.
