Our local society of jewelry-makers is hosting “Jewelry at the Domes Gift Show” on Saturday, May 2, from 9am to 4pm. The venue for this gig is the Milwaukee Park Conservatory, a horticultural landmark featuring three exhibit domes: the Tropical dome, the Desert dome, and the Show dome (changing exhibits). I’m pleased to be selling my work at this event, and can’t wait to see what my fellow makers have been working on in recent months. Having a show deadline is always good incentive to finish a series of pieces or master a new technique.
A bit of digging in my studio unearthed a forgotten stash of beads and components. That, in turn, led to playing with leather cord and a line of everyday necklaces and earrings.
